For those of you closely following my career with East Coast FM, yesterday was perhaps my last broadcast. The station turns off its FM tonight at midnight and will continue to broadcast only via the Web. This won’t make much of a difference to most of you as I know you listen on your computers anyway.
Well although the broadcasts will continue, it is not clear whether or not the programming will.
I have ‘volunteered’ to carry on but an executive decision is to be made next week as to what will be broadcast and whether there will be any presenters involved.
An application for a full 5 year licence has been submitted and the signs are excellent that we will get it.
When I came out of the studio last night, it had snowed again so I had to stay put with a few friends and a drink or two.
We weren’t bothered though and just got on with it.
